Hudson River Park
Extending from Battery Park to 59th Street, the Hudson River Park includes substantial offerings on nearby Pier 84, between 43rd and 44th Streets. Outdoor visitors can enjoy a full range of activities there, with bike rentals, running, rowing, dog walking, boat tours, summer events, shopping and dining.
Union Square Park
A favorite with locals, the well-designed space caters to the needs of the neighborhood. Play areas at the north end ensure that families feel comfortable, and pet lovers will be delighted by the dog-run on the west side. Union Square is noted for its impressive equestrian statue of U.S. President George Washington.
Chelsea Waterside Park & Chelsea Waterside Dog Park
The western-most part of the neighborhood is defined by Hudson River Park, one of the city’s largest public spaces that sprawls out over 550 acres of waterfront.
Four Freedoms Park
The Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms Park is a four-acre memorial to Franklin D. Roosevelt that celebrates the Four Freedoms he articulated in his 1941 State of the Union address. Located at the southern tip of Roosevelt Island is the spectacular memorial, it's free to the public and hosts a variety of events throughout the year.
The High Line
Spanning 22 blocks along Manhattan's West Side is New York City's new elevated park, the High Line. The High Line is a vibrant gathering place, with space for meditation, fragrant gardens, and verdant parks, wetlands, and even meadows!
