Viewing the Fourth of July fireworks is even better when you don’t have to leave your building—or even your apartment. We rounded up the best Related buildings for watching this year’s Independence Day displays, with views of everything from the Macy’s fireworks in New York City to a music-studded Fourth of July celebration at the Hollywood Bowl.
While views vary by apartment location and orientation, these Related properties offer some of the best opportunities to watch this year’s celebrations without leaving home.
NEW YORK CITY
Celebrate 250 years of America and 50 years of New York City’s iconic Macy’s fireworks. This year, the show expands across the Brooklyn Bridge, lower East River near the Seaport District, and lower Hudson River, giving New Yorkers more opportunities to catch the fireworks from around the city. The celebration starts at 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 4.
Tribeca & Battery Park City
Set up on 456 Washington St.’s 10-story-high rooftop terrace and veranda designed by Mathews Nielsen or any of its higher floors with unobstructed Hudson River sightlines for prime fireworks viewing.
Tribeca Park’s sweeping views of the Hudson River provide residents with a front-row seat to this year’s fireworks from the 27th-floor rooftop sun terrace and certain upper-floor apartments.
Standing at an impressive 52 stories tall, residents of Tribeca Tower can catch the fireworks from select upper-floor apartments and dining solariums featuring floor-to-ceiling windows.

See the fireworks from Chelsea’s The Caledonia, which features 24 stories and Hudson River views from its roof deck and upper floors.
Standing at 14 stories tall, The Tate’s rooftop deck offers views of the Hudson River and another opportunity to watch this year's display.
Midtown Manhattan
Soaring 63 stories above Midtown Manhattan, MiMA residents can watch fireworks from select upper-floor apartments and the rooftop terrace with private grilling areas.
West SoHo
Residents at West SoHo’s 261 Hudson St. can take in fireworks views over the Hudson River from its landscaped rooftop terrace and fitness lawn on the 12th floor.
BOSTON
The Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular returns for its 52nd year at the Hatch Shell on the Charles River Esplanade with special guests Lainey Wilson, Chance the Rapper, and Trombone Shorty. The Boston tradition runs from 7-9:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, and is the signature event of the Commonwealth’s MA250 (Massachusetts 250) celebration honoring America’s 250th anniversary as a nation.
One Back Bay residents can catch views of the fireworks from select residences and the building’s 33-story landscaped rooftop terrace.
CHICAGO
Navy Pier’s award-winning fireworks display starts at 10 p.m. with an extended 15-minute show honoring the 250th anniversary of America.
500 Lake Shore Drive is a prime place to watch the Navy Pier fireworks with its rooftop pool, firepit, and cabanas overlooking Lake Michigan, 47 stories high in the sky.
Those living at One Bennett Park’s higher-floor residences can catch views of the Navy Pier fireworks. Although not at the top of its 66 stories, its landscaped terrace also offers views toward the fireworks.
LOS ANGELES
The Hollywood Bowl’s July Fourth Fireworks return with The Beach Boys and special guest John Stamos on Saturday, July 4, starting at 7:30 p.m. In addition to The Beach Boys celebrating 60 years since the debut of their iconic album Pet Sounds, expect music from the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and a dazzling fireworks show.
Select higher-floor residences at the 18-story Argyle House offer views toward the Hollywood Bowl area during the fireworks spectacular.
SAN FRANCISCO
San Francisco’s official Fourth of July fireworks show launches displays off the towers and east side of the Golden Gate Bridge, beginning at 9:30 p.m. on July 4.
Towering 56 stories above San Francisco, Avery 450 residents can catch views of the fireworks from select west- and northwest-facing upper-floor apartments or the rooftop terrace with barbecues.
WASHINGTON, D.C.
This year, Washington D.C.’s A Capitol Fourth takes place on Friday, July 3 at 8 p.m. The event features a concert and iconic fireworks show, aired live on PBS from our nation’s capital.
