Twin Tails: A Retro-Futuristic Southeast Asian Dining Experience with Stunning Central Park Views

From the brains behind restaurant powerhouse Quality Branded (Don Angie, San Sabino, Bad Roman, and Quality Bistro, to name a few) comes Twin Tails, a Southeast Asian restaurant showcasing the flavors of Thailand and Vietnam with supporting nods to Cambodia and Laos, situated in a “retro-futuristic” space with sweeping views of Central Park. Recently opened in October 2024, the 140-seat restaurant on the third floor of the Time Warner Center features thoughtful design details from AvroKO. Sink into yellow velvet banquettes complemented by rosewood tabletops or sidle up to an expansive marble bar, all while watching the busyness of Columbus Circle and the quiet expanse of Central Park glittering from floor-to-ceiling windows. 

The menu is bursting with flavorful dishes from chef/partner Craig Koketsu. Start off with fresh raw dishes like the Yellowtail with watermelon nuoc cham and shiso or appetizers like King Crab & Uni Buns. Move on to heartier mains in the fish and shellfish sections like the Sautéed Dove Sole with Tom Kha beurre blanc and a Red Curry Sea Bass with galangal and lime. Carnivores will want to check out the Cho Lon Duck with jalapeño nam jim, coconut-red curry aioli, and steamed silver dollar crepes, or Lemongrass Ribs with black pepper caramel. End your meal with must-try desserts like the Rainbow Sherbet Cake with guava, makrut lime, and roasted pineapple, or soufflés in creative flavors like Vietnamese mocha, pistachio-pandan, coconut red curry, and passion fruit.

Drinks from beverage director Bryan Schneider are equally exciting. Order the Bangkok Screwdriver with Grey Goose, calamansi, Thai chili, and basil, or the Sambal Margarita, a Sambal-infused Dobel tequila with lime and bergamot, rimmed with spicy salt. Wines feature a French influence to perfectly play up the food’s Asian flavors. 

In addition to full restaurant buyouts, Twin Tails offers three private event spaces. Choose from the 24-seat Salon with iconic Columbus Circle and Central Park views, The Mirror Bar, which can accommodate 30 guests standing, or the 10 seats at The Kitchen Table, which is situated within the working kitchen for a unique and interactive dining experience. 

Twin Tails is now open for dinner from 5 PM to 10:30 PM Sunday through Thursday, and from 5 PM to 11 PM on Fridays and Saturdays. 10 Columbus Circle, 3rd Floor, New York, NY
