Ora Method LED Gua Sha

Related Partner ORA Method™ Introduces the LED Gua Sha—a Must for Your Summer Skincare Routine

June 26, 2026
Style & Beauty Summer

The ORA Method™ LED Gua Sha combines three popular skincare practices—gua sha, LED light therapy, and lymphatic drainage with vibration—into one lightweight, portable, rechargeable device. Gua sha is a Traditional Chinese Medicine wellness practice that uses a smooth tool to support circulation, while the device’s vibration feature promotes lymphatic drainage and facial relaxation, and LED light therapy uses targeted wavelengths of light to encourage healthier-looking skin.

We caught up with Kimberly Ross, founder and CEO of longtime Related Partner ORA Method™, an NYC-based wellness and acupuncture practice, to get the scoop on what sets the innovative device apart, why it’s perfect for summer skincare, and simple skincare tips that everyone should follow this season.

What Sets The ORA Method™ LED Gua Sha Apart

Ross says more people are looking for skincare solutions that fit easily into their routines without needles, downtime, or lengthy appointments. The ORA Method™ LED Gua Sha sculpts, lifts, and brightens the complexion—and results are often visible right away, especially in reducing fluid retention and helping define facial contours.

“Each 10-minute treatment helps stimulate circulation, encourage lymphatic drainage, reduce puffiness, and address visible signs of aging such as fine lines and wrinkles,” Ross tells us. With consistent use, the red and infrared therapy supports collagen production, improves skin elasticity, and softens the appearance of fine lines over time, while the vibration feature helps relax facial tension.

To use, Ross recommends starting a few times a week and building from there, either in the morning to reduce puffiness or in the evening as part of a wind-down, self-care ritual. “Unlike traditional gua sha, which is often used with facial oils, our LED Gua Sha is designed to be used with a gel-based product because gels allow the red and infrared light therapy to work effectively on the skin,” Ross says. She suggests pairing the ORA Method™ LED Gua Sha with the Vital Hydrant Toning Gel.

The LED Gua Sha’s Role in Your Summer Skincare Routine

Summer often means more travel, sun exposure, time spent outdoors in the heat, changes in routine, disrupted sleep schedules, and the occasional indulgences, like rooftop margaritas and vacation desserts. “Between travel, heat, dehydration, and long days outdoors, it’s common to experience puffiness, dullness, and irritation,” Ross says. The LED Gua Sha is a good way to reset your skin in as little as 10 minutes. Plus, its compact design means it’s easy to take wherever you go. “It’s especially beneficial after long flights, road trips, or nights when sleep may be limited,” Ross tells us, noting to pair the use of the device “with a hydrating serum and sunscreen in the morning, then use it again in the evening after cleansing to help the skin recover from a day spent in the sun.”

While the device can easily fit into an at-home routine, Ross says to "think of the LED Gua Sha as an extension of the work we do in the treatment room" and use it to keep skin looking refreshed between professional services. For summer, she suggests the ORA Method x OMAD Lift and Sculpt Facial to combat skin looking tired or inflamed from heat, travel, and a schedule packed with summer fun. This treatment “combines lymphatic drainage massage, gua sha, microcurrent therapy, and the OMAD Instant Firm and Lift Mask to reduce puffiness, improve skin elasticity, and create a radiant glow,” Ross notes.

For Ross, the goal isn’t adding more steps to a skincare routine this summer—it’s making existing self-care habits work harder. “Simple practices like facial massage, gua sha, staying hydrated, and getting enough rest can go a long way toward keeping skin looking refreshed and energized,” she says.
