Experience a comprehensive collection of the late American artist Brice Marden, with works spanning six decades. This exhibition includes pieces from 1961-2023, and explores Marden’s career-long examination of the relationship between the plane and the image in modern art.

Anna Maria Maiolino’s new exhibition at Hauser & Wirth spans more than six decades of the artist’s exploration of migration, motherhood, and everyday life told through drawing, photography, sculpture, performance, and installation. “ANNA—And the Infinite Line” coincides with the release of a documentary of the same name from The Forgotten Her Story.

In this exhibit, Ugo Rondinone pays respect to the ever-changing nature of waterfalls in a series of a dozen 3.5- to 6-meter vertical sculptures. The artist uses transparent resin infused with pigments derived from crushed gemstones, as well as ashes from his own hair and fingernails, examining the intersection of synthetic, geological, and biological materials.

Brooklyn-born, New York-based artist Ross Bleckner brings an exhibition of new paintings to Petzel this fall. Emily Mae Smith’s solo Petzel exhibition features new paintings that focus on unexpected figures that are part human, animal, and plant, like an anthropomorphic broomstick.
