How We're Supporting Our Team
Applicable to: all Chicago Residents
3/25/2020, 2:00pm
We wanted to thank you for the outpouring of support we’ve received from you over the past few weeks in regard to our building staff members and the exceptional work they are doing. They are all committed to making your home as safe as possible, and have stepped up to take on that task now more than ever before. Please know that we are seeing all of your feedback and that it is not going unnoticed by our leadership. We are also sharing your words with our staff to uplift them during this difficult time.
As they are doing so much for all of us, we thought we would share what steps we are taking to prioritize their health and safety and to show our appreciation.
- All employees are being asked to consider how they are feeling before coming to work each day. If anyone is feeling ill, we are requiring them to stay home and not report to work. Additionally, if any employee believes that s/he has had close exposure to COVID-19, we are asking that employee to stay home.
- Everyone has been fully trained in best practices for reducing the spread of COVID-19, including frequently washing hands and maintaining a distance of six feet from each other at all times.
- Many deliveries are being handled through a contact-free system, reducing our staff’s interaction with food orders.
- All building sites are stocked with gloves, disinfectant and anti-bacterial materials. All work stations and common areas are also being routinely cleaned.
- Senior leadership is conducting daily check-ins on staff members to boost morale and ensure that all concerns are being taken care of.
We have always known that our employees are our greatest asset, and we think you’ll agree that at this time they are holding our standards and community together with empathy, professionalism and care. Please continue to share your stories with us and do not hesitate to reach out if there is anything else we can do.
"Stay at Home" Updates
Applicable to: all Chicago Residents
3/20/2020, 10:00pm
As you may have heard, the Governor of Illinois has issued an executive order for a Shelter In Place starting at 5:00 PM on Saturday, March 21, 2020 and continuing through April 7, 2020 in response to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak. We wanted to update you on what we are doing to ensure that your building continues to run as smoothly as possible.
Our building staff will be doing everything they can to keep operations as usual. While the leasing and management offices are now closed, our staff are continually checking emails and phone messages throughout the day and will respond within 24 hours. Essential building staff – including concierge, porters, and handypersons – will continue to service operations, and you can expect the front desk will be staffed 24/7. However, you may see some unfamiliar faces as we rotate new team members for support.
- All building amenities and common areas will be closed until at least April 7, 2020.
- No guests other than family or caregivers should be allowed to your apartment.
We appreciate your continued patience as we work through these challenging times. As always, do not hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns regarding our new building policies. We do apologize for any inconvenience.
In-Home Package & Food Delivery Services
Applicable to: all Chicago Residents
3/12/2020, 10:00pm
The health and safety of our community and employees is our top priority and as such, we want to share some changes that we are making out of an abundance of caution. Effective March 13th, we have decided to suspend in-home package service and food deliveries directly to your door. Here is how we plan to manage this change:
- Package deliveries: Our team of expert concierge members will now hold packages at the front desk as an alternate to in-home delivery (if you were enrolled). We kindly ask that you come to the desk to retrieve your items after you are notified that they are available for pick up. You can track your packages’ arrival through the Related Connect app or on the monitors in the package rooms.
- Food deliveries: For food deliveries (including Uber Eats, Seamless, Delivery.com, etc.), you will be notified by our concierge that your food has arrived. We ask that you come to the lobby to retrieve your delivery. For food deliveries such as Fresh Direct, we will continue to hold these at the front desk as in the past.
- Amenities: To provide further flexibility for those working from home, we have temporarily suspended lounge and co-working space reservations. You may still use these spaces on an individual basis. If you had a prior reservation, it will be honored and should you like to reschedule we are happy to accommodate your request. The health clubs will remain open and our staff will continue to provide additional surface cleanings and machine wipe-downs throughout the day.
